After several not-very-gentle reminders (from Eunice & Hongzhen) to update my blog, I am back here blogging again. There has been so many things going on in my life right now and I simply don't know where and how to go about blogging about EVERYTHING. heh. Perhaps, I am just plain lazy la.
Yesterday was the X-clan BBQ, a gathering of the juniors and seniors of the X-clan. It's very heartwarming to see everyone gather yesterday for a time of fellowship and catching up. I guess the drizzle yesterday was a blessing in disguise because everyone gathered under the umbrellas to bbq and at one point in time, everyone gave up on the fire and the food and just gathering under the umbrellas to chat and talk about last year's FOC. heh, that was fun.
For eunice, zhen and me, it was a really nice time to catch up on internships, relationships, friendships and every other things. I have to say that I really enjoy talking to them and yesterday was one of those girl-to-girl sharing session. We are planning another short getaway to either Bintan or Genting! All 7 of us will be spending 3D2N away from this sunny island, to somewhere where we can just enjoy each other's company. I am looking forward to this trip! Cant wait.
My internship is ending next week! How time flies, it's time to bid farewell to wonderful seniors and all the new friends I have made in Ernst & Young. I cant find an exact word to describe my seniors but I just love them to bits. They are the reason why I look forward to work each day and they really brighten up my days. I will not forget all of them even as my internship draws to a close. I will be queueing for the donuts at Donut Factory next thursday with all the other interns to get donuts for all our seniors! heh. So on friday, every senior on the 15th floor will get to eat DONUT! I AM A DONUT LOVER! : )
Tuesday is an interns outing for the 5 of us! All the very good friends I have made in EY and they have also become my lunch buddies! We look out for one another for the past 7 weeks, exchanging breakfast, sweets and snacks, complaining and grumbling about having nothing to do, shopping sprees and to think that we were strangers when we first met. Thanks for all the wonderful memories, let's go out more often! : )
I know it sounds weird but if there is anyone who wishes to join my night cycling committee (singlet design, route planning, security and lead cyclists!) and investiture committee (Hall 8 investiture will be going through a BIG revamp!), do contact me yeah? It will be very fun I promise! : )
On a totally separate issue, don't promise when you know you can't deliver your promise because it's irritating and it just goes to show that you lack credibility.
My sister has been an angel for the past few days to the extent that it seems rather weird. She doesn't quarrel with me anymore, how weird! There must be something wrong with her!
Tml will be another eventful day! I am lovin' it!

Before I forget, i wanna thank another of my senior for doing up a tag which says "GST Intern - Summer Kang" and this is placed nicely before my desk, so I am not any different from all of them. These seemingly small gestures matter and I am truly blessed with seniors like all of u. With Love.

Today has got to be the most fruitful day since PA started and all I have to say is that it just gets better each day. With each passing day, I am assigned with more and more responsibilities and duties, and the satisfaction derived from accomplishing those duties is priceless.
I was asked to edit some workshop slides for my partner as he will be holding a workshop this wednesday. As I was editing the slides, I noted some irregularities and I wrote the recommendations down in a post-it before I submitted my work to the partner. Just before lunchbreak, my partner called me to his desk and complimented me on my eye for detail and "for not editing blindly." heh. He added that people always edit without looking and thinking through the details, and so he was quite impressed that I could actually sieve out the irregularities. muahahha. That's not all! He said something about offering me a contract and he is serious about wanting me to join the GST team after i graduate! He was very sincere about wanting me back in the GST team and thou I am glad my contribution is being recognized, I have to think twice about the offer.
Just a side note, I am going to a client's place for MES audit this wednesday! My senior is bringing me along with her! Yay! I was so excited I let out a scream when she told me about it! heh. Like finally! The long waited MES Audit is FINALLY here! Thank you senior!
My senior was so crazy today! kept giving me tips on how to get an 'A' for internship! And she was telling me that just before I joined the company, a guy got 'D' for internship in another tax department! and the worst part is this, he is an all 'A' student in NTU! gosh! so she says I must get an 'A' for internship! heh.
Met up with ah zi today for some catching up and a GSS shopping spree. It's really nice meeting up with this gerl cos I feel so at ease with her each time I meet her. No pretense, nothing. I can tell her EVERYTHING about what's going on in my life. Thank you ah zi! Enjoy ya audit tml!
Lynda and I will be going to JB on saturday for shopping AGAIN! Yes, just the 2 of us! I am looking forward to meeting her!
Will be meeting eunice and gang on sunday for cycling @ east coast park! Eunice gerl is so funny, she says and I quote, "Meet 1030 @ EAST COAST MRT!" Muahahahahhaha! She is so blur and cute! love u still. heh.
Alright, I am going to zzz. Work just gets better each day and I am loving it!

The sun is shining ever so brightly in the clear blue sky and I am here updating my blog and lazing around in the comfort of my room. I have been spending a lot of time in my room with just me and my storybook (The Devil Wears Prada, nice read!) and lots of junk food to accompany me through the day.
My NTU supervisor will be visiting a bunch of us tml and I really have no complaints about EY, but maybe they can give me more work to do! heh. At times when I have absolutely NOTHING to do, a part of me kept sneaking out to drink milo and to pass the rest of my time, I was just happily doing my sudoku puzzles (from Today newspaper)! Another fellow intern even downloaded a whole set of sudoku puzzles from the internet for me to pass my time! heh! But in all seriousness, I really wanna thank them for sending me to all the workshops and allow me to attend all the divisional meetings. I never knew GST alone could be SoooO Complex, really.
My aunt was very pleased with my results and I have to say that I feel very much appreciated by her encouragements. Thou will continue to work very hard for the remaining 2 semesters I promise and this time, first class honours will be my aim! : ) I can do this.
To digress, I am utterly disappointed with somebody. I have never felt so disappointed with her all my life, she made me realize actions do speak louder than words as her words are just empty promises with no weight. I have been believing in you, but this time, I might just give up on you.

i did unexpectedly well for this semester, far beyond my expectations. perhaps i should aim a lil higher, so even if i cant achieve my goal i will still remain in the second upper range : )
i am having meetings every other day and it proves to be rather tiring i would say. As if having FOC, DND and JHOC meetings all on the same week is not enough, i still have to travel all the way to NTU from raffles place! Even the thought of traveling to NTU makes me tired. *yawns
work's fine. my seniors are a bunch of really fun peeps! and they kept teasing me cos i go 8/10 for the quiz, discouraging me from studying the GST manuals and GST Act for fear that i will supersede them, muahahaha~ my seniors treated me to curry fish head today! we were eating and laughing, laughing and eating over lunch and they really make my stay at EY more enjoyable and fun! they will nv exclude me from their activities and lunch breaks, and updating me with all the office gossips (!) making sure i feel at home. thank you my dear dear seniors!
alright, this week has been a really good week!
