*Phew*
I almost died. From over-eating. Haha~ Even before i reached the scene of scrime (Food Fair), i was already
welcomed and greeted with an explosion and fusion of aroma from various sources.
Ate so much, much more than i did for the past 2-3 days.
Shredded chicken soup,
mushroom soup,
cheese sausage,
lemon juice,
shark's fin soup,
durian puffs,
samples of instant noodles
samples of durian swiss roll,
samples of bak kwa,
samples of pork floss,
and ... and ... i cant remember. Perhaps more. :p
(After this, i went home for a steamboat feast. Muahahah~)
An amazing discovery - Food induces endorphines, and at the end of the day,
gives you a big tummy in return as well. :p
Coincidentally, MPH is also having this warehouse sale @ Expo Hall 6!
The crowd was like WOW, and so i went in to kay poh a bit. And i left MPH
with 4 books! I like i like i like. Here they are, Presenting To You:
"The Other Side Of The Story" by Marian Keyes

"Past Mortem" by Ben Elton

"The Frog Prince" by Jane Porter

and most interestingly,
"Why Men Don't have A Clue And Women Always Need More Shoes"
- The ultimate guide to the opposite sex by Barbara & Allan Pease.

All these for just a mere $23. if this is not a good deal, i have to clue what is.
4 books to bring me through this "nong nong" holidays. WooHaa~
Received a SurPrise message from Shiming today! Going for a movie next
thursday with him after my work.
Tuesday, dinner with Zerk and Thurdsay, movie with ShiMing. Next week, i predict,
is gonna be an eventful week with lotsa catching up and fun filled activities. Who says
working life is dull and monotonous? *winks*
I am looking forward to next week. Bah!
If you have the time, be sure to catch "True Courage" on channel 8, 9.30pm on Saturday.
I have been consistently watching each episode and it just gets better each time. Each real
life story just inspires and motivates. Knowing that courageous and extraordinary people
actually exist in this polluted and colluded society. *sigh*
Have any idea what suddenly evoked my volunteerism spirit? It's this episode on Teresa
don-know-what, an amazing lady where her altruism takes on many forms, from setting up
a home for the elderly to looking after them. That's not all, she is an elderly lady herself.
Fancy having an elderly looking after another elderly. Don't ask me where their sons and
daughter went to, you do the equations yourself.
It's heartbreaking, to be abandoned, and even more so by your own daughters and sons.
You gave them life and this is what you got in return. Life is unfair and i guess these elderly
had their fair share of it.
Mei mei just broke up with her boyfriend, again. Yes, again. In this aspect, she is very much
like me i noticed. Well, that just proves another fact isn't it.
It is simple impossible to go through life without trials and struggles being thrown at you.
They come when you least expect them; when your defenses are weak. They come when you
are happily strolling on the busy street. You can dodge them all you want, but as long as you are
alive, the keep coming, from all directions. Sure, you might get wounded, but you just have to
bandage the wound and carry on. In this fast paced society, there is no room for defeat.
"When life give you lemon, make lemondae."
Have you ever ever wonder why is the suit of clubs called "clubs" when they actually bear a closer
resemblance to clovers? If you have, then you must be real bored, aren't you? Lol~ Reader's
Digest is my new found favourite cos it is rich in knowledge and facts. I enjoy reading as much
as i enjoy shopping.
Okie, back to my reader's Digest. *beams*
Anyway, just to digress a lil, below is a snapshot of my first love when i was searching for a blogskin which very much represent me. But it's a pity cos the posting column is just too small. Darn irritating. But well, i am perfectly fine and cool with my current one. In fact, i am loving it to bits! *bleah* |
